Autumn Colours In Wales
28th Oct - 1st Nov

What better time to see the stunning scenery of Wales than at this time of year. We will travel through Bannau Brycheiniog National Park, which is awash with autumn foliage and sweeping views.

We will start with a scenic drive past Blaenau Ffestiniog to Betws-y-Coed, admiring the stunning scenery and dramatic waterfalls enroute. We will stop for coffee before continuing on to Bodnant Garden, where there is a fiery show of Japanese acers and incredible views towards the Snowdonia mountains from the terraces, framed by the patchwork of colour. Enjoy the view of the waterfall as well as the kaleidoscope of autumn colour in the shrub borders. On our return we will pass Inigo Jones bridge in Llanrwst with it's virginia creeper-clad 'Tu Hwnt I'r Bont tearoom, where blazing red envelopes the cottage.

On second excursion will be to Caernarfon on Halloween, allowing time to visit the castle. We will enjoy the scenery in Llyn, and Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty at any time of year, but more scenic with the addition of the stunning autumn colours.

You will also have at free day in Criccieth to explore the town known as 'The Pearl of South Wales on the shores of Snowdonia.' on the Princess Katherine for a 1 hour tour around Salford Quays and the Manchester Ship Canal. We will get an insight into the history of the area with a unique view of Manchester, including Media City, Old Trafford and the disused docks. We then board the coach for a guided tour of the city.
